This Sat. was awesome, We went on a spontaneous trip to the USS Texas and to the San Jacinto Memorial(where Texas won its independence) The USS Texas was really neat, I have a whole new respect for those who live on those war ships. It was neat to see all the restoration and memorabilia they had. But I loved the kids' faces, Johnathan was in heaven! I love that they let the kids in the seats to move the guns and stuff! We also went to the San Jacinto memorial. That was neat. I love history. I am so grateful for those who have served and fought for our freedom. I love that I can share that with the kids! Rosie also shared a song about Stephan F. Austin. It is always surprising to hear the things she learns in school! I am excited to go back and have time to go to the top of the memorial!
